Customer Rating: Summary: CSNY - Raw Comment: If you're fan of the 60's music then you'll enjoy this CD. If you're a CSNY fan then it's a must. I found the quality very good.
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome CD! Comment: This is one of CSN&Y's best. I listened to the vinyl version in the 70's till it was worn out. Glad to see it is on CD now. I highly reccomend it to any music lover.
Customer Rating: Summary: So Right Comment: I just recently revisited this great record, and was blown away. I actually like it more now than I did when it was first released. Back in the late sixties and early seventies so much was out there, so much was good that we held everything to a higher standard. When you listen to this work of art now, and put it up against the pitiful compositions that are offered by todays crop of "talent", you get the true perspective. Yeah, I sound like an old timer, but thank god I was around to enjoy this stuff twice. The harmonies of Nash and Crosby, the bite of Young's guitar balanced by the subtle warmth of Still's playing his tasteful leads, is the whole package. Get it and think about the value of real talent.
Customer Rating: Summary: Deja Vu CD by Crosby,Stills,Nash&Young Comment: I have been checking every music store I enter for years, searching for this CD, without success. It has never been an option in a music club I subscribe to. I would have gladly paid more for this CD, but at Amazon the price was less than most new CDs. It is everything I hoped for with quality packaging and excellent clarity. If you are a fan, or if you enjoy the type of classic rock that combines exceptional vocal harmonies, unique and meaningful lyrics reflecting the anticipation & hope for a peaceful future that motivated the early "hippie" movement of the 60's you don't want to miss this album. It is truly timeless!
Customer Rating: Summary: A Must In Any Collection Comment: Though the four member had great success both before this record (Stills and Young in Buffalo Springfield, Crosby in the Byrds, and Nash in the Hollies) and after, in various solo efforts, everything came together in this near-perfect record. Few records have defined a decade, or a generation, as this one has. Classics such as "Carry On", "Teach Your Children", "Helpless" and "Woodstock" (to name but a few) helped influence and inspire a number of bands that came after (most notably the Eagles) and still sound just as fresh and compelling as they did when they first appeared on the radio. Whether it was gentle, soulful ballads, infectious pop standards, or four guitar rock workouts, CSN&Y proved that they could, and did, it all with equal ease. A must-have for any collection.

Less than a year after the release of CSN's groundbreaking debut, the group returned with Stephen Stills's former Buffalo Springfield cohort/rival Neil Young augmenting the threesome. The result is a less concentrated but more kinetic creation; Young swims through the celestial harmonies of rock's best barbershop trio like a fly in consommé. While somewhat dated ("Almost Cut My Hair"? Wait a while, David, it'll fall out), Deju Vu is teeming with early '70s FM staples, including "Helpless," "Teach Your Children," and "Our House." --Steven Stolder
