Summary: Original Soundtrack - The Crow
Comment: Well, I have to say this is easily one of the best soundtracks of all time. It really is an assembly of remarkable bands and some of which are well under the mainstream radar. Another added bonus is that many of these tracks are previously unreleased, and each one shows each respective band at the top of their game. Nine Inch Nails covering Joy Division? Are you kidding me? How amazing is that? All in all this is a stellar soundtrack, one I can pretty much enjoy from beginning to end. I must reiterate just how splendid I find it to have top name acts like Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, and Pantera alongside virtually unknown (except in the industrial world) acts like Machines of Loving Grace and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. An interesting mix of bands for sure, but fortunately for me I can appreciate it all.

Summary: Sounds of Crow
Comment: The music on this CD are from the original movie titled, 'The Crow.' The music is dark and somewhat tells a story that seems to follow the mood of the movie rather closely. On the soundtrack, I found that I personally like some of the songs more than others. I do however, recommend this CD for anyone that enjoyed the movie, or that just likes a hint of darker sounding music.

Summary: My Teenage Soundtrack
Comment: This soundtrack is simply amazing. It fits the movie to a T. It was one of my very first teenage music purchases and it sort of defined my life at the time and my taste in music for the times to come. My first introduction to NIN, The Cure, Rage... and the final song by Jane Siberry is so sad and beautiful. I only saw the movie once (though I own it), but I have listened to the soundtrack countless times over the years. This album really helped me and I am so grateful for it.

Summary: One of single best soundtacks ever made
Comment: This has to be one of best soundtracks ever made in my viewpoint. This ranks up their with dazed and confused. I personally enjoy the whole album without skipping any songs. If your into different style of rock, from 90's you'll love this soundtrack. Got Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, STP and so forth. Buy this album you wont regret it.

Editorial Reviews:

Based on the hit comic book about a man who returns from the dead to avenge his killers, the film adaptation of The Crow suffered a cruel irony when star Brandon Lee (son of martial arts superstar Bruce Lee) died during production after a bizarre onset accident. That event only deepened the film's aura of death and gothic unease, moods that are brilliantly underscored by this well-chosen collection of stark alt rock, dark metal, and industrial dirges.

The opener, the Cure's typically angst-ridden "Burn," is about as sentimental as this album gets, bookended by Jane Siberry's wistful "It Can't Rain All the Time." Sandwiched in between is a virtual primer on powerful mid-1990s alt and industrial rock, from Nine Inch Nails hammering Joy Division's "Dead Souls" into its own image to the blistering snarl of Helmet, Pantera, and the Rollins Band. So-called pop-song scores often have a cheap afterthought feel to them; this one, a refreshingly integral part of the film itself, stands as a great album in its own right. --Jerry McCulley
