Customer Rating: Summary: Fun and Thoughtful Comment: I'm a big Bryan Adams fan, but this is the first time I've bought his music. None of the songs I knew were on this CD, but I like just about everything.
Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty good Bryan ! Comment: I am please with this cd, it offers a different sound of many very well known songs, Bryan Adams and friends offer a top notch perfermance.
The sound is very good and the choice of track is perfect for this kind of performance, it helps us discover a different side of Bryan Adams.
Customer Rating: Summary: "When You Love Someone" hits the mark Comment: Acoustically, this is a gorgeous album. I didn't think it was possible, but it is. "When You Love Someone" is my most favorite song from Bryan Adams and the only one I have ever actually purchased. I love that song because I have lived the lyrics far too many times, and keep hoping that one day I will "learn to do things better." But at least, after hearing Brian's take on "when you love someone" I realize that I'm not the "only one out there" (stupid or not). For that I am eternally gratefully and forever in his debt!
[ BRYAN ADAMS Lyrics ]
"When you love someone"
When you love someone - you'll do anything
you'll do all the crazy things that you can't explain
you'll shoot the moon - put out the sun
when you love someone
you'll deny the truth - believe a lie
there'll be times that you'll believe you can really fly
but your lonely nights - have just begun
when you love someone
when you love someone - you'll feel it deep inside
and nothin else can ever change your mind
when you want someone - when you need someone
when you need someone...
when you love someone - you'll sacrifice
you'd give it everything you got and you won't think twice
you'd risk it all - no matter what may come
when you love someone
you'll shoot the moon - put out the sun
when you love someone
Customer Rating: Summary: Not a Bryan Adams fan....but... Comment: I enjoy high end home audio, so while auditioning a set of $20k+ speakers the owner of the store popped in this CD. I'm super familiar with Adams and have heard him on great systems in the past, BUT this particular CD has some exceptional tracks in terms of separation, imaging and soundstage that are extremely uncommon on live recordings.
Even though I'm not a big fan of Brian Adams this cd has some "high end" qualities that I couldn't pass up, I had to buy it!
One of the best recordings of "Heaven" that I've heard.
Customer Rating: Summary: The classics turned classical... Comment: If you love chart toping hits from Bryan Adams, you will love their live versions. Unplugged features 13 of them with a unique, addictive, orchestraic, acoustic tone that feeds off the excitment from the live audience. Great from start to finish!

Editorial Reviews:

Canada's ultimate Renaissance man has bounced from grizzled heartland rock to soft-focus middle-of-the-road pop without employing a safety net--or even a consultant to warn him that his legion of fans is definitely split between the two genres. For the most part, Adams steers clear of his later power ballads on this acoustic (but hardly stripped-down) set, instead reaching back to concentrate on such choogling classics as "Summer of '69." Yes, he tugs at the ol' heartstrings with tunes like "Cuts Like a Knife" (which is given a new twist via the uillean pipes of Davy Spillane), but if it's out-and-out schmaltz you're craving, there's little to be had here. --David Sprague
