Customer Rating: Summary: Legendary - Introduced Horn and Jazz to Mainstream Listeners Comment: For many listeners, like myself, this album and especially the title track "Feels So Good" provided the introduction of the horn and jazz. This album was timely as it was a fusion of talent display, great jazz progressions, while staying consistent with the music style of its day.
The song, "Feels So Good" is legendary because it is the first song that comes to mind when one thinks of horn and mainstream jazz. It truly put Chuck Mangione on the map.
All tracks have the jazz session musician feel. As a listener, you are drawn in (no matter how many times you've heard it) - as if you were there in the studio with the players.
Thanks Chuck and band for countless hours of enjoyment with this one!
Customer Rating: Summary: Memories Comment: I gave up my record of this years ago and finally got the CD. I haven't heard it in years and it is still wonderful. Jazz for almost everyone.
Customer Rating: Summary: The reason to love this man! Comment: This is my favorite of all of his albums. One of the first jazz albums I ever bought. I was hooked on the stuff after this album. You need a reason to love jazz, start here.
Customer Rating: Summary: CD Case Comment: The plastic case for the CD was damaged; the CD was undamaged but part of the purchase is a CD Case to protect the CD.
Customer Rating: Summary: Doesn't it though...... Comment: I remember hearing the song "Feels so Good" every once and a while as a child in the late 70s/early 80s, and it's one of those songs that simply stays with you. Fast forward a couple decades (holy cow! almost thirty years!!!), it sounds as good today as it did so many years ago. The entire cd is outstanding. I just wish the Theme from "Side Street" was a few minutes longer. Definitely a must have.
