Customer Rating: Summary: So much for church Comment: I purchased this album over 20 years ago after leaving church. I still have the LP to this day. I'm glad that the CD is available. Millie's performance has brought laughter into the household and at work. A certain symphony came in handy as the "background" music for my answering machine.
Keep up the excellent "Reverend" Millie. You have a lifetime fan.
Customer Rating: Summary: She is Something Else Comment: I just recently learned who Millie Jackson was. She is something else and this CD is a very good example of her style. She holds nothing back and it makes for very good entertainment.
Customer Rating: Summary: Foul language with great memories Comment: I couldn't believe I'd gotten this on CD, it was so long ago I'd heard it (LP-times!). She tells great stories with stories and songs, many using pretty foul language, but I remember them from some really great drag shows a long time ago and talk about memory lane! I was right back in the small, grimy, bur fun lesbian bar in the early 80's with totally mad drag queens, one lip synching to nasty Milly Jackson music, two in the morning, everyone pretty high, it was a great party.
I believe Jackson is now more Christian in her recording, but I sure hope she doesn't rue her past. It was great. I'm happy for her now and I thank her for what she was doing back then.

I would highly recommend any new customers who have not had the experience of purchasing from Amazon to try it once and I guarantee you will end up as satisfied as I am with my purchases.
