Customer Rating: Summary: Of Course It's A 5 Comment: Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RUJD3FD64FBL3 I can't add anything to the 5 star reviews except to demo how good "Bad Moon Rising" is for JumpRock. I wish I could give it an 8 to offset the three 4 star reviews, none of which give a reason for the downgrade. It's not that I'm obsessive, it's just that I care about justice so very, very, very much - especially for millionare (I assume) rock and rollers like CCR - and good on 'em.
Customer Rating: Summary: I guess you will know the tune. Comment: This was CCR's third album. There were two singles released from it. The a-sides ("Green River" and "Bad Moon Rising") each reached #2 on the Hot 100, while the b-sides ("Commotion" and "Lodi") topped out at #30 and #52, respectively. These are great songs that many people are familiar with, but there are five other very good songs on the album. John Fogerty wrote all the songs, with the exception of the closing cover of the Ray Charles song "The Night Time is the Right Time". This is arguably CCR's first "great" album.
Customer Rating: Summary: Probably CCR's best Comment: What more do you want? When you buy a CCR album, you know what you're getting... they never really strayed too far from their "signature sound." Solid rhythym, with nice guitar work as usual from J. Fogerty (that distinctive swampy blues guitar - I believe a Rickenbacker)... If I knew the songs on the album off the top of my head, I would rank them, or do something cute like that... but, I don't so I'll just say again that this album is worth the measely $9.00 or whatever Amazon charges for it. Vintage CCR.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fogerty Comment: Great value. If you are into the 60s' and 70s' you will love this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Product Comment: I ordered the CD as a Christmas gift for my dad. It took longer then expected to get here but overall it was a good experience. He liked the CD. It was in good shape and he was happy with it.

Editorial Reviews:

Remarkably, this is the third studio album Creedence Clearwater Revival released in 1969! During that stunning burst, John Fogerty could do no wrong. Green River isn't as chock-full of CCR standards as the record that followed it in 1970 (Cosmo's Factory), and, at 30 minutes, it's briefer than its rather brief predecessor (Willy and the Poorboys). Still, this is economy at its best. The title track, "Lodi," and "Bad Moon Rising" are all indelibly etched into the memory banks of classic-rock fans, while "Commotion" and "Cross-Tie Walker" are perfect swamp-rock complements. "The Night Time Is the Right Time" is one more in a series of spot-on Fogerty covers. And "Wrote a Song for Everyone" manages to be both rarefied and down to earth in the same breath--which is really CCR in a nutshell. --Steven Stolder
