Comment: I purchased this CD only for one song, which was the Eagles' all-time, hands-down very best version of Hotel California EVER. I highly recommend!

Summary: Eagles - 'Hell Freezes Over'
Comment: Have been an Eagles fan since the beginning, was at the Houston concert the last time they played there in '81, and think they have a sound that will stay with us the same as the Big Band Era (swing).
They sound as good today in this album as they did back then and their lyrics and music are as crisp and grabbing as it was back in time. Great music to travel by.

Comment: I love this CD - I have most of the Eagles CD's and think Hotel California is one of the best ever. However the live versions on this CD are fantastic. Always have and always will love Henley but this CD is worth every cent.

Summary: A Must Buy for any Eagle fan
Comment: I bought this album originally after the 1994 reunion tour when I saw them live in New Orleans. I wore it out. Since you can't buy a digital download of this album, I bought it to add to my Ipod.

Summary: The Ultimate Live Album
Comment: This album is truly the Eagles at their best - unlike most mediocre live performance recordings, this album lets you hear the articulation on the guitars, the roughness in the voice, the cheer of the crowd - every detail.
The performances are exquisite, from the unique solos in Hotel California to the lyrical wonder of "Love Will Keep Us Alive". Every second of this album is pure audio bliss. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Indeed, there were many who thought that it would take an event as cataclysmic as the one described in the album title to get these seminal '70s soft-rockers back together. But here they are, revisiting some of their most beloved tunes as well as four new ones, on this mostly live, largely acoustic disc. Frey, Henley, Walsh, Schmit, and Felder tackle iconic Eagles standards like "Hotel California," "Tequila Sunrise," "Take It Easy," "Desperado," and "Life in the Fast Lane" and new tunes like "Get Over It" and "Love Will Keep Us Alive" with the smoothly cocky assurance that originally made them icons. --Scott Schinder
