Summary: Good Compilation
Comment: This is an excellent compilation of SPEBSQSA medalists from the early to mid 90's. I would have liked a bit more variance in the groups but it's still a decent cross section.
My only complaint is that there is a quartet doing the same song on 2 different discs. Admittedly they are different arrangements, but it's still a bit much.

Comment: This set of 3 CD's is a compilation of the best of the top quartets from 1990-96. They are live recordings, and of excellent quality. For the price, you will not find a better deal on Barbershop Quartet music. The harmonies are tight, and really get under your skin. This is fun music. Enjoy!

Summary: What a great buy, a bargain at thrice the price
Comment: Words can't even begin to express how happy I was with this collection. The live recordings were absolutely perfect, with the only hint that they WERE live being the audience clapping and cheering at the end of each number.I had a smile on my face that would not leave for hours after listening to some of the most beautiful harmony I have ever heard.
Defnitely would recommend this to anyone even curious about babrbershop.

Summary: Great introduction to Barbershop
Comment: I am thoroughly enjoying these CDs. Many standards, several new songs and even some great humor! ("Somewhere, overweight people..." - Judy Garland would have loved this parody!) Live recordings add extra emotion with the enthusiastic audience response. Can't ask for more quality and quantity for the price.
